Electric power transmission transmission is the bulk movement of electrical energy from agenerating site, such as a power plant, to an electrical substation. The interconnected lines which facilitate this movement are known as a transmissionnetwork. After electricity is generated at a power plant and transmitted on high-voltagepower lines, it is then distributed to our homes and businesses on local power distribution lines. This page focuses on electricity distribution—the final stage inelectricity delivery

In statistics, a power law is a functional relationship between two quantities, where a relative change in one quantity results in a proportional relative change in the other quantity, independent of the initial size of those quantities: one quantity varies as apower of another.

An electrical grid is an interconnected network for delivering electricity from producers to consumers. It consists of generating stations that produce electrical power, high voltage transmission lines that carry power from distant sources to demand centers, and distribution lines that connect individual customers.

Electricity is a secondary energy source, meaning it is generated from the conversion of primary sources of energy, such as fossil fuels (coal, natural gas and oil), nuclear power and renewable sources (wind, hydro, solar, geothermal).
